C.A.R.S. SHOWS
HOT WITH HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS!
Date: December
10 , 2005
Location: Jefferson High
School - Tampa, FL
There was NO missing this high
school car show when the well known NHRA drag racer
Matt Scranton, from the Scranton Brothers Racing Team,
pulled up in their “big rig” with three
awesome racing cars. And that was just the beginning!
With more than 50 cars and
dozens of motorcycles, Hillsborough’s Jefferson
High School made quite a statement about the caliber
of cool cars at their school. Jefferson High, in conjunction
with CARS (Cops Against Racing on Streets) Safe Teen
Driver and Scranton Brothers Racing put on one hot
tuner show this past weekend that entertained hundreds
of visitors. Guests checked out the cars and bikes
with local radio station 95.7 adding to the fun by
broadcasting right from the event.
Like previous high school tuner
shows, the goal was to have fun and educate young
drivers about road safety. So kids (and adults) not
only got to scope out the latest, fastest, and most
eye-catching rides, they walked away with valuable
information on keeping safe on the roads.
More shows are in the works
for 2006, so keep checking the Safe Teen Driver Web
site, www.safeteendriver.org,
for information on Hillsborough County’s next
high school tuner show.
