C.A.R.S. SHOW on
December 9th was a hit!

Another great turn out and
another great CARS event was recently held at Thomas
Jefferson High school in Tampa. The weather was a
bit on the chilly side in the morning but the event
certainly got heated up as the hot cars and sport
bikes rolled in. Not only did we have a great turnout
but the car show participants went above and beyond
showing their generosity by donating so many toys
for the Toys for Tots drive in Tampa that we had to
constantly empty the big bins into the CARS trailer
so we could accept more toys. A special thanks to
all of you for helping out and showing the less fortunate
kids in our community that you do care.
One of the highlights of the
CARS show was the stereo contest. This time we did
it right. Thanks to Andrew from Audio Itch for busting
out the decibel meter so we could record the noise…..I
mean sounds from each entrant properly. Of course
we knew who won that event, although Andrew had some
pretty stiff competition, congrats Andrew.
Jefferson High won the coveted
trophy for the best club attendance, congratulations
to them and a special thank you to the Tampa Police
Explorers for handling the parking security and also
for opening up the food wagon to feed the hungry bunch
along with the Wing House guys and girls for providing
their delicious chicken wings for free!...They were
a hit!
